| Martha Shaff joined the firm in 1993, having distinguished herself in law school with memberships on the Drake Law Review and Moot Court Board as well as serving as treasurer of Delta Theta Phi. Her emphasis at the firm is on civil litigation , at trial and on appeal. Martha is fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, was elected president of the Iowa Defense Counsel Association for the 2007 - 2010 year and holds membership in the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. In 2000 she was elected by her peers to serve on the Seventh Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission. She served as a faculty member for the International Defense Counsel Trial Academy in 2009. Martha is also a member of the Scott County, Iowa State, American Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. |
